OUR ROOTS
Nestled in the Valle di Fumane, a bastion of Valpolicella, where the gaze is shaped by the hills and the anthropomorphic charm of nature, our ancestors' thoughts resonate within the echo of the earth.
The only way to create wines with a true identity—wines that are children of this unique land and its vineyards—was to rigorously apply a sustainable cultivation system.
A conscious decision was made to withhold excessive external nourishment from the vines. Consequently, the vineyard responded in accordance with the teachings of Mother Nature: the root system began to delve deep, seeking water and sustenance.
VALLE ALTA - SACRED BREATH
Identity: between the ancient chalk and clay that shapes life, the wind blows through the high valley that looks towards Jerusalem, the south-east giving precious acidity to its historic wine. The grapes are at 256 metres above sea level, on a plaque of marl harsh enough to force the vines to give their best, exposed to the morning sun that tans and fortifies the grapes. They get ready for the long drying process that gives the wine the power composed of the finest essence in a harmony of aromas and flavours that point to a philosophical balance between character and talent.
Sensory profile: the colour is intense, a clear, bright garnet red. To the Ripe red fruits are released on nose an important note of black cherry and dried plum. The palate, followed by notes of cocoa and toasted coffee
Grape varieties - Corvina 60% ; Corvinone 20% ; Rondinella 10% ; Oseleta 10%
