Lucas & Sophie Wines is a label founded by Alex Guarachi, who after a career ending injury dashing his dreams of becoming a professional soccer player in the late 1970's, embarked upon a journey that began with importing top quality wines from Chile & Argentina to the USA. He eventually pirchased the Sun Chase vineyard in Sonoma's Petaluma Gap & the Meadowrock Estate on Atlas Peak in Napa. While the Guarachi Family wines reside in the 'Ultra premium' range, the Lucas & Sophie wines were created to be more accessible on an everyday basis. The fruit is sourced from the Sonoma Coast, one of the premier areas in Northern California for Pinot Noir.

100% Pinot Noir from (primarily) Petaluma Gap, Sonoma Coast

The fruit is hand picked, night harvested (which allows the fruit to remain at a cooler temperature).

Aging - 9 months in French oak - 20% NEW barrels, 50% 1 Year old barrels & 30% 2 year old barrels.

Tasting Notes - Bright red cherry & cranberry notes dance on the palate supported by graceful structure, vibrant acidity and a lingering, graceful finish.
